Four-hundred-thirty-seven days and five million pages of paperwork ago, we submitted our application to adopt a Wee One from China. It's been a long journey to get to this new starting point, but we couldn't be more thankful that we are finally able to go get our little man. We are leaving for China in the morning and are excited...and maybe just a tad nervous.
So, to Sam, you have no idea what is about to hit you. Our prayer is that you would know the safety and security we bring, that you would never doubt the hold you have over our hearts, and that you would know you are loved beyond measure.
To our friends and family who have supported us, thank you. From Montana care packages with food for a picky eater to munch on in China and books to keep us busy on our long trek, to friends who are getting up at the butt-crack of dawn on a Saturday to get us to the airport, to grandparents who put up with a dog that takes 35 years to decide the best place to do her business, and grandparents who graciously and joyfully give up ALL their frequent flier miles to allow us to travel first class, to friends who throw showers with chinese take out boxes as the shower cake, and to friends and coworkers who have showered us with love and shared in our joy. We are blessed because of all of you.
Now, as my grandmother would say, let's get this show on the road.
